However, the girl’s life was saved as the rope got stuck on a pole.
Delhi girl was gang-raped, and thrown from a building in Churu
In Rajasthan’s Churu area, a 22-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped, bound, and thrown from the third floor of a building. Two of the four accused have been arrested and will appear in court on Sunday.
The woman is from Assam, although she has lived in Rohini, West Delhi, for some time.
The incident occurred near Churu’s railway station on Friday. After one of the four accused offered her a job, the woman flew in from New Delhi on Friday. The accused communicated with her on social media and by phone.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Mamta Saraswat, the woman accuses gang rape by four guys, all of whom are unmarried and students, in her complaint. They are Churu district residents.
She claimed in her complaint that one of the four accused befriended her on social media and then telephonically offered her a job. She arrived in Churu on Friday afternoon after flying from Delhi. She was taken to a place near the bus stop, where they all drank alcoholic beverages. When she inquired about her job, they offered to set up a meeting for her on Saturday morning.
The four accused then assaulted her and raped her. The accused tied her hands behind her back and pushed her from the third floor of the building as she began to scream. She got trapped on a pole and hung from it for at least an hour, which was fortunate.
She was rescued from the pole by the police, who were notified.
The woman’s hand was fractured, and she suffered tiny bruises, according to Saraswat. Her lawsuit has been filed, and she has had a medical evaluation and is being treated. The arrested suspect will appear in court today, and attempts are underway to apprehend the other two suspects.
Since a few months, the safety of women in Rajasthan has been a source of concern. A mentally challenged woman was victimised by two guys in Banswada on January 10. On January 9, it was reported that a standard 11 student in Jodhpur was kidnapped by her own teacher and gang-raped by three people. A two-and-a-half-year-old child was raped in the bushes in Nagaur on January 8.
On January 25, three men in Chittorgarh raped and dropped pregnant a 19-year-old girl from Rajasthan’s Bhilwara district, who had hard of hearing and speaking. A specially-abled little child was also discovered abandoned at the Tijara overpass in Alwar, Rajasthan, on January 12. She was admitted to the hospital because she was bleeding from her genital parts. The act sparked widespread indignation, and demonstrators took to the streets to question the senior Congress party officials’ deafening silence in the aftermath of the brutal rape crime.
Rajasthan has the highest number of rape and attempted rape incidents in 2020, according to data given by the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB). The rape crime rate in Jaipur, the state capital, is 28.1 incidences per lakh people, more than double that of Delhi (12.8).
